Logos Scripture Summer School 2025

Presented by Dominican scripture scholar Fr Terence Crotty O.P., the Logos Scripture Summer School 2025 offers two separate course options this year.

Course 1 - A Walk through the Bible

Friday evening 27th June to Tuesday evening 1st July 2025

On Course 1 (A Walk through the Whole Bible) we will go through the entire Bible, hitting its key passages and giving a short overview of each of the major sections: the Old Testament history books, the Prophets, Psalms, the search for Wisdom and then, in the New Testament, the Gospels, the Letters of St. Paul and the other letters, with a brief look at the Book of Revelation.

  • Course 1 (A WALK THROUGH THE BIBLE) will run from Friday evening 27th June to Tuesday evening 1st July 2025.

  • The Summer School will be held again at the Cistercian Abbey Guesthouse, Roscrea, Co Tipperary, Ireland:

  • NOTE: the Summer School lectures, events and meals are held in the Guesthouse itself; bedrooms are split between the Guesthouse, and Clairvaux House, also in the grounds of Mount St Joseph Abbey, near the gate. Rooms are allocated by booking date.


Rates and Payment

Total Cost:

    • €400 per person sharing (€360 with Early Bird Offer up to Friday 16th May 2025 for Course 1). 
      • €465 single room (or €418 with Early Bird Offer up to Friday 16th May 2025 for Course 1)

  • Bank transfer payment details are on the booking form.
  • A deposit of €100 is required to confirm your acceptance of the place.
  • The balance of the fee is due by Tuesday 17th June 2025 for Course 1.
  • Remember to include your name as a reference so we can identify the payment.

    • Meals over the five days (Friday evening - Tuesday evening) The course concludes 6pm Dinner on Tuesday evening.

Presenter: Fr Terence Crotty O.P.

Fr Terence Crotty (BDS, BA, LSS, STD) is a scripture scholar and a priest of the Dominican Order, based at St Saviour’s Priory, Dublin. A former prior of San Clemente in Rome, he is Regent of Studies for the Irish Dominican Province, and he lectures in Scripture, Latin, and Greek at the Irish Dominican Studium. He studied at the Pontifical Biblical Institute, Rome, and at Blackfriars, Oxford, and he holds a doctorate in Sacred Scripture from the University of Fribourg. His doctoral thesis, “Why is it that you ask my name?”, explores the translation of names in the Septuagint version of the Book of Genesis.
